To foster a more complete co-curricular experience for the Wharton undergraduate community.

Current Committees

Recognitions

Facilitates recognition and de-recognition of clubs interested in joining the WC umbrella and emerging clubs that need more help.

Club Recruitment

Leading a division-wide team to transform the club recruitment experience, making it more inclusive, impactful, and less stressful for both the students and the club leaders.

Club Resources

Maximizing the value WC offers to clubs through liaison interactions, regular communication, resource guides, and check-points throughout the semester.

Finance

Helping clubs fund their operation through the allocation of annual budgets and fulfillment of contingency requests as well as managing WC's Internal budget.

General Body Membership

Facilities the creation, the enlargement, and the sustainability of the GBM Engagement Program in all WC recognized clubs that is meant to make meaningful opportunities available to a larger number of students. Additionally oversees WC's GBM Program.

External

Organizes large-scale events for the entire undergraduate community including our major traditions. Additionally, manages all our social media and the website.

Internal

Maintains a fam lovin culture within Wharton Council by hosting internal get-togethers, friendly competitions, and other fun events.

Our Traditions

Business of Life Lecture

An annual event featuring members of the Wharton community who have taken interesting paths in life. This lecture gives them an opportunity to share an impactful message with students that goes beyond business and focuses on their journey. Past speakers include Justin Tuck, Hoodie Allen, Professor Adam Grant, and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter.

Wharton 5K

A fun, high energy event for the University of Pennsylvania as well as for the local community and national runners. Proceeds from the race will be generously donated to Minding Your Mind, a Philadelphia-based mental health advocacy organization. With thanks to Minding Your Mind, your participation in this event will touch many lives in the year to come!

Wharton Formal

A night for juniors and seniors to celebrate their time together in the Wharton community. This event is an opportunity to eat, dance, and have fun with the friends who shape your college experience, and reconnect with others who you have met along the way. The WC strives every year to make this event available and accessible to as many students as possible.
