**First day of classes** - Everyone should have handwraps, gloves and athletic shoes
Handwraps - Here is a cheap option. Ace bandages or any other wrap will also work. For bag work you can use the slip-on ones they give out at Rumble. You will learn how to wrap your hands during the first week of classes.
You will also be expected to bring your own gloves. Here are some recommended options:
Notes: 16oz gloves recommend for most men and women. Heavyweights will wear 20oz gloves for sparring. If you are only using gloves for pad work and/or bags classes you can use lighter gloves.
For sparring:
Fight Night contestants must use USA boxing approved headgear. The trainers, Law School leadership, or the Boxing club board will not allow you to spar if your equipment is deemed unsafe.
Notes: you need a mouthguard for sparring. You do not have to have a double mouth guard. Top row is fine.
Head
Groin protectors
ALL MEN MUST WEAR GROIN PROTECTION WHEN SPARRING.
Boots: not required, but some prefer them for sparring (ask Harry or any of the trainers for recommendations!)
