GSR

Group Study Room (small rooms that can be booked to study in)

SHDH or Steiny D

Steinberg Hall - Dietrich Hall (a building). SHDH Suite 1400 is where the Wharton Undergraduate Division is located (and where meetings with academic advisors are). Classes are often in this building.

JMHH or Huntsman

Jon M. Huntsman Hall. Classes are often in this building and students study in the GSRs in this building.

ARB

Academic Research Building. Classes are often in this building and students study in the GSRs in this building.

Koo Plaza

The outdoor courtyard space (with grass) on the 2nd Floor of Huntsman Hall

JMHH 2nd Floor Lounge

An area on the 2nd floor of Huntsman Hall that features a Pret cafe. Popular place to study and eat.

F versus G floor of Huntsman

F = Forum level (the lowest floor of Huntsman). G = Ground level (the floor of Huntsman that the entrances are on)

Tannenbaum Quad

The grassy area behind the Lauder Institute and in front of Vance Hall

Venture Lab

A center for entrepreneurship and innovation. Based out of Tangen Hall (a building on 40th street).

Acronyms and Terms

CampusGroups The platform Wharton clubs use to manage their operations and advertise events (this site is built on it)

JWS

Joseph Wharton Scholars. The JWS program is the Wharton component of the Penn-wide Benjamin Franklin Scholars (BFS)

WLV

Wharton Leadership Ventures. Immersive experiences to build leadership skills; through the McNulty Leadership Program.

Council or WC Wharton Council. The student group that oversees Wharton clubs and club processes.
SAC Student Activities Council. Penn student-run body that recognizes and funds undergraduate activities and organizations.
UA Undergraduate Assembly. Penn student government body for undergrads
WIP WH 2980: Wharton International Program - short-term 0.5 CU courses that take students around the world to study business

GBM

General Body Members. Each Wharton Club has a general body membership that is open to all students. The GBM program ensures every student has the opportunity to participate in any Wharton club.

DP

Daily Pennsylvanian, Penn's student-run newspaper

CURF Center for Undergraduate Research. University center that promotes undergraduate research opportunities and coordinates applications for competitive national and international student fellowships (e.g., Rhodes, Marshall).
