Club Description:

The Wharton Run & Tri Club provides a venue for students and members of the Wharton community centered around running, cycling, and swimming. All ability levels from beginner to expert are welcome! The club brings together more than 120 students and faculty at all athletic abilities. 

Club Mission:

Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned athlete, Wharton Roadrunners & Triathletes offers you a place to have fun, improve your fitness, and to get to know a great group of people on the run/ride/swim and beyond. We would love to have you join us! We believe that its our duty to make running, swimming, and cycling more inclusive and equitable.

Club Activities:

Weekly group runs along the Schuylkill River Trail, track workouts at historic Franklin Field, organized swims at Pottruck. Regular social events such as pub runs, post-race parties. Intro to running program. Guest speakers, previous speakers include endurance sport industry leader Mary Wittenberg and sports nutritionist Starla Garcia.

The club hosts is the annual Wharton 5K Race, open to all affiliates of the University of Pennsylvania campus as well as to the local community. This event is part of Cluster Cup and points will be awarded.
