Overview:  The Wharton PEVC club sponsors and participates in a number of MBA case competitions to facilitate continued education and competition in the investing space.  All PEVC club members (both 1^st and 2^nd years) are encouraged to participate REGARDLESS of investing experience.

Most competitions allow one to two weeks of preparation time ending with the creation and presentation of an investment memorandum that simulates a real-life private equity investment.   

Participants will gain:

• Real-life investing experience (with the ability to see other teams’ viewpoints) 
• Team camaraderie (teams are self-assembled)
• Networking with judges and sponsors in the PE industry
• Excellent interview preparation
• Competition winners last year received cash prizes as high as $2,000

1. Wharton PEVC Club's 14th Annual Buyout Case Competition (February 21st)
2. Wharton's 3^rd Annual Latin America Private Equity Competition (February 15th)
3. NYU Stern LBO competition (December 7th)
4. UNC VCIC Competition (Venture Capital Competition) (February 7th)
    

• Largest buyout competition in the world
• All 1^st and 2^nd years encouraged to participate (regardless of PE experience)
• 25 teams from business schools around the world participated last year
• Internal Wharton Round due February 13^th (sign-up by Feb. 3^rd - will not interfere w/ ski trip)
• Final Round on February 21^st
• Information / tutorial session and details to be released late January

• Case will be released to all teams on November 29th, Friday and final decks will be collected on December 5th, Thursday
