About Us

Our Mission

The mission of the Wharton Dean’s Undergraduate Advisory Board (WAB) is to enhance the Wharton undergraduate experience by collaborating with the administration to generate and implement academic initiatives that have a positive impact on the learning environment.

What We Do

During a typical month, we will research, debate, develop and seek student and faculty feedback on a variety of projects in small initiative teams and as a full board. Our work culminates in our bimonthly Dean’s meetings, where the entire Board meets with Dean Garrett, Vice Dean Rosenkopf, Deputy Dean Gibbons, and other administrators of the Wharton Undergraduate Division.

Close interaction with the community is crucial for the success of WAB’s work. The Board regularly seeks feedback from the wider student body, both on the macro level and on specific initiatives. WAB also collaborates closely with other members of the Wharton community, including faculty and other student leaders, as well as senior administrators throughout the University. In the 2013-14 academic year alone, WAB worked with over a dozen different departments and offices across Penn. Board members remain connected to administrative developments through weekly meetings with undergraduate division staff, and participation in the Wharton Steering Committee. WAB members are also invited to represent the student voice in various other bodies, such as the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and many of the professor and student award committees.
