WHAT IT IS: These events are intimate (~7 people at a time) and usually held in someone's home over a meal. At Storytellers Suppers, you cut past the small talk and each share a true, personal story related to a theme. Suppers are a way to share a story in an informal, intimate setting and hear from other storytellers at Wharton. Stories aren't rehearsed—and themes are open for interpretation. Partners are welcome!

THE VIBE: You do NOT have to formally rehearse any speeches for these Suppers—just come prepared with an idea for a 5-10 minute story. This should be way less pressure than a Slam, but much more intimate than Bonner's. Hosts should aim to create a hygge vibe for Suppers—this is an informal and cozy way to get to know people beyond the small talk! The host will cook, order in, or offer drinks.

PREP REQUIRED FOR ATTENDEES: Again, attendees don't have to formally prep speeches, but each attendee will speak for 5-10 minutes about a story related to the theme pre-selected by the host. The themes are open for interpretation—and this event requires minimal prep. Do not rehearse! Just come prepared with an idea for your story and be yourself!

*NOTE ON ATTENDANCE*: To facilitate an intimate setting and ensure hosts and attendees get the most out of the Supper, we encourage you to prioritize attending the Supper you sign up for below. If your plans change, please let your host know and try to re-sell your ticket on Wharton Marketplace at least 24 hours in advance to ensure a full slate of attendance.

COST: $18—to facilitate easier planning for the meal, your fee will be fully dedicated to the host's efforts to cook/order-in food, snacks, drinks, etc.

*****************************

If you're still not convinced, both our hosts and attendees describe the experience as one of the most memorable things they've done at Wharton. It's a unique opportunity to get to know a diverse group of classmates on a deeper level.
