Where: St. Francis Inn @ 2441 Kensington Ave. St. Francis Inn operates a restaurant-style soup kitchen, serving up to 350 meals daily to anyone in need. Beyond meals, they provide essential services such as toiletry distribution, mail reception, job assistance, and clothing through Marie’s Closet.
When: 4:00-6pm on April 16th! A 4pm arrival will allow them to train us and then we clean until around 6:30.
What: Volunteers will provide restaurant-style food service to their guests.
Why: Kensington faces significant challenges, including poverty, homelessness, and the opioid crisis. St. Francis Inn addresses these issues by offering dignity, hospitality, and essential resources to the community. Volunteering here allows you to make a tangible impact by supporting individuals who are often marginalized.
