How can you build a meaningful career that truly makes a difference? Join us for a thought-provoking session with Prof. Drew Carton as he provides a framework for how to pursue the most high-impact career for you, as well as highlighting some common misconceptions and pitfalls. This workshop will challenge common assumptions about doing good in the world, unpacking tough questions like:
- Is working at a nonprofit always the most ethical/impactful career path?
- What are the unintended consequences of certain well-intentioned job choices?
- How should we think about prioritizing different risks/cause areas in our careers?
Prof. Carton will draw on research from organizational behavior, psychology, and effective altruism to help you think more critically about your career decisions. Whatever your field of work, this conversation will provide frameworks and insights to help you maximize your positive impact over the long term.
