We’re delighted to host an intimate evening with Marla (WG ’86) and David Jeffrey, co-founders of Calluna Vineyards in Sonoma County. This event offers a rare opportunity to explore not only the wines, but the realities of founding and operating a small, family-run winery—from early vision to day-to-day execution.
Calluna Vineyards is a deeply personal project rooted in a shared passion for Bordeaux-inspired wines and a belief in Sonoma’s potential to produce them at the highest level. Located in the Chalk Hill region of the Sonoma Coast, the estate was built from the ground up with a long-term view: thoughtful site selection, hillside farming, and an emphasis on balance, structure, and age-worthiness. The vineyard is planted primarily to Bordeaux varieties, and the wines reflect both Old World sensibility and the distinct energy of coastal Sonoma.
Marla and David will guide us through their journey—leaving established careers to pursue winemaking, shaping Calluna as a small business, and learning what it means to steward both a brand and a vineyard over time. Along the way, we’ll taste through a lineup of elegant, expressive wines that showcase their philosophy and the character of their site.
Join us for an evening of conversation, insight, and exceptional wines—an inside look at the passion, discipline, and vision required to build a winery with both soul and staying power.
