We’re excited to host an evening focused on discovery—pairing an up-and-coming winemaking talent with thoughtfully designed glassware that brings wines to life. This event brings together ALLBAER Wines and Sense of Place stemware for a tasting that’s as much about curiosity and craft as it is about great bottles.
ALLBAER Wines
Founded by Alex Baer, ALLBAER is a small, detail-driven project rooted in California’s Central Valley and Central Coast. Drawing on formal training and hands-on experience at respected wineries, Alex focuses on expressive, small-lot wines that emphasize balance, texture, and site. These are serious but approachable wines—made with intention, still evolving, and exciting to follow as the project gains momentum.
Sense of Place Stemware
Designed here in Philadelphia, Sense of Place glassware is engineered to highlight aroma, texture, and the way a wine unfolds in the glass. Lightweight and ultra-thin, the stems are built around the idea that glassware should disappear in your hand and let the wine speak clearly—especially for nuanced, terroir-driven styles.
Expect a relaxed, engaging evening of tasting and conversation, with wines that reward attention and glassware that elevates the experience. It’s a chance to discover a rising producer, rethink the role of the stem, and enjoy wines that feel both thoughtful and fun.
