Join us for our first installment of Wharton Wine School! Whether you are looking to start a new hobby, impress your friends, or flex at your next corporate dinner, this foundational session will give you the knowledge and tools to get started on the right foot. Supplement this session with the rest of the Wine School series that follows, and you will be sure to get the most out of your Wine Club membership!
September's Wine School theme is Wine 101: Intro to Tasting and Varietals of Wine. Together, we will cover the basics of the winemaking process, discuss the Systematic Approach to Tasting, and start to explore the dozens of different varietals you will see most often. Over the course of the night, we will taste 5 wines (2 whites, and 3 reds), each of different styles and profiles to start to see how wines from different regions and grapes are different, and hopefully what you like the best!
This Wine School session will be held from 7-9pm at the Sofitel (120 S 17th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103). We will NOT be providing food (besides a small snack) so please plan to eat before you arrive.
This session will be held three times in September (9/12, 9/19 and 9/26). The wines, educational content, and exercise will be the same so please only sign up for one session.
