Growing Up & Living Away from the Motherland: Navigating Dual Identities, Celebrating Intersectionality, & Giving Back

Being a South Asian immigrant brings with it a powerful blend of heritage, ambition, and responsibility. It’s about balancing cultural values with personal goals, breaking stereotypes, and advancing in spaces where South Asians have been historically underrepresented. But being South Asian can also mean something unique to everyone. In this Wharton OSL-sponsored 60 Second Lecture (60SL) series, we will explore the impact of dual identities and celebrate diverse stories that intersect across region, nation, gender, religion, socioeconomic background, and sexuality.

You are welcome to bring & share a short story of what your South Asian (American or British or Canadian or Indonesian or Australian, etc.) identity means to you - but this is not required to participate! Lunch will be provided.
