Details

Ever wanted to try Olympic Weightlifting? Or refine your technique with world-class coaching? This is your chance.

Join us on Sunday, April 13, 2025 for an exclusive, hands-on weightlifting seminar led by Jim Rutter, a USAW International Olympic Weightlifting Coach and the head of Philadelphia Barbell Club. Jim has coached athletes at the National, World, and Olympic qualifying levels—and now, he's coaching us.

This 2-hour seminar will break down all three Olympic lifts:

Snatch (30–35 min): full-body power and precision
Clean (25 min): explosive movement and bar control
Jerk (25–30 min): overhead strength and speed

Whether you're new to lifting or looking to improve your form, you'll walk away stronger, more confident, and equipped with techniques used by elite athletes.

🗓 Date: Sunday, April 13, 2025
🕚 Time: 10am
📍 Location: Port Richmond Gym (Exact address will be shared after ticket purchase)
⚠️ Capacity: Only 20 spots available – this is an exclusive opportunity to train with one of the top Olympic weightlifting coaches in the country.

No experience necessary – just bring gym clothes, lifting shoes (sneakers, flat base - avoid running shoes if you can) if you have them, and get ready to learn, move, and lift!

This event is open to all MBA students and is proudly co-hosted by Wharton Weightlifting Club and the 1Gen Club as part of our mission to promote wellness, strength, and opportunity for everyone.
