We are honoured to invite you to our special speaker event as WUREC hosts two J.P. Morgan real estate veterans, Mr Thomas Grier and Mr Salvatore Gambino, who will discuss the public REIT market and Blackstone's $4bn acquisition of Retail Opportunity Investments Corp. (ROIC) that JPM advised on.

Tom Grier is the Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking for J.P. Morgan which includes clients in Real Estate, Lodging, Gaming, Homebuilding and the Real Estate Financial Sponsors sectors. Tom is a 35-year veteran of real estate investment banking and has advised publicly traded and private companies on transformational M&A transactions within the real estate sector. Tom and his team have advised on mission-critical advisory and corporate finance transactions in the global real estate sector aggregating more than $800Bn over the course of his career.

Sal Gambino is the Head of Real Estate Mergers and Acquisitions. Sal has advised on approaching half a trillion in announced M&A transactions, including some of the largest and most transformational deals in the real estate, gaming lodging, and homebuilding sectors in recent years. Sal’s experience includes advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, proxy contests, unsolicited and hostile transactions, shareholder activism and special committee assignments.
