Details
Scott Rosner is a Practice Associate Professor in the Legal Studies and Business Ethics Department at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as the Faculty Associate Director of the Wharton Sports Business Initiative and the Academic Director of the Wharton Sports Business Academy. He is the lead author of the leading textbook "The Business of Sports" and has also had his expert views featured in various news outlets such as Sports Illustrated, ESPN.com, and the New York Times. Additionally, Professor Rosner has led various consulting projects for a number of different clients, some of which include the NFL, MLB, Red Bull, and more.
Jonathan Tannenwald (C '06) serves as the producer of Philly.com, the digital news source powered by The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Philadelphia Daily News. His work includes covering local college and professional teams and running various media platforms, such as blogs and podcasts, dedicated to local and national college sports. While at Penn, Tannenwald also covered sports for the Daily Pennsylvanian and Sports Illustrated on Campus as a contributing writer.
David Nathanson, C'98, is the Head of Business Operations at FOX Sports. He previously was the General Manager and COO of FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2 and before that was the General Manager and Executive Vice President of FOX Soccer. Nathanson helped FOX Sports acquire FIFA World Cup rights in 2011 and still manages FOX Soccer Plus, a premium international sports network. In his current role, he maintains business and league relationships, helps with rights negotiations, and identifies untapped revenue opportunities for all channels and platforms under the FOX Sports organization.
Rick Resnick, C'87 and W'87, is the Vice President of Sports Marketing at Univision. He previously was the Vice President of Marketing at Time, Inc., where he managed teams that supported advertising sales for Fortune, Money, and Time and developed custom multimedia programs for clients. He also previously worked for Sports Illustrated and was a sportswriter for North Jersey Herald-News and The Daily Pennsylvanian.
Gabriele Marcotti, C'95, is a Columnist and Analyst for ESPNFC, a World Football Correspondent for The Times, and a writer for the Wall Street Journal. He has written three books about soccer, including The Italian Job: A Journey to the Heart of Two Great Footballing Cultures, which was nominated for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year, and Capello: Portrait of a Winner, which was nominated for the National Sporting Club's British Sports Book of the Year award in the Football category.
Parisa Howard, C'08, is a group director in the sports marketing consulting division at Octagon. Prior to joining Octagon, Parisa was a manager at Cisco in the Emerging Technologies Group, marketing enterprise video solutions. At this time, she also assisted the San Francisco 49ers media relations team with home game responsibilities for four seasons. She has also worked eight Super Bowls in capacities ranging from PR to sponsorship marketing. While at Penn she she was a senior sports reporter for The DP, an emergency medical technician crew chief for the MERT, a neuroscience research assistant, and interned for the NFL.
