Trip Details:
Dates: January 30- Feb 1st, 2025 (Friday-Sunday)
Commitment Deadline: December 30, 2025 (Deposit); January 5: Full Remainder Payment
Location: Coconut Grove Sailing School, Miami, FL
Costs:
Boat charter & certification (~$1,000-1,100 + tax) - includes all materials
Includes: ASA 101 course fees (five students per instructor on 40-foot boat / 51-foot premium boat), textbooks, ASA certification, temporary ASA membership
Lodging - Sailing Club can get a group Airbnb; likely will be ~$350 per person (3 nights)
Flights - we urge you to fly in Thurs. 01/29th, flying out Sun 02/01 (earliest); we are currently seeing flights at ~$150 - $200 with carry-on
Estimated all-in total (excl. food and other incidentals): ~$1,500 - $1,650
Note: Lodging and flights are separate (~$150/night lodging recommended; flights to MIA)
Group Setup: Boats will have five students per boat, each with a dedicated instructor, ensuring a hands-on, personalized learning experience.
