ROUND 2: Discover Scuba! No Experience Required

Always wanted to try diving? Get Scuba Certified through Wharton Outdoors Club and local shop Scubadelphia ahead of our upcoming destination dive trips. Begin with a $25 Discover Scuba session (discounted for WOC from $59). This session counts as one of three pool sessions you need, plus the cost goes towards your certification. Make a decision after if you'd like to get PADI Open Water Certified for $495 ($470 if you Discover Scuba) with e-learning, three pool sessions, and dive gear included. For PADI Open Water, you will need to purchase your own mask, snorkel, fins, and boots (~$200) and the four additional "check-out" dives that we recommend you do at a destination (~$300-$500).

Pool Sessions will be at William Penn Charter School (8 mi. from Rittenhouse) on Sundays 3-6PM. You can mix and match Sundays in case of conflicts. Wharton Outdoors Club will subsidize $5 per member per class on an Uber or Lyft if you go on our community-building days.
