“Feedback: Seeking, Giving, and Receiving” with Steffanie Wilk
The Productive Dialogue Project

Seeking, Giving and Receiving Feedback is a way to promote productive dialogue and gauge and improve standing in organizations. Having productive dialogue at work involves the exchange of sometimes challenging information, for example, constructive feedback about performance. In this session, we use both discussion and experiential exercises to unpack the science and art of feedback. We start with a discussion of the importance of seeking feedback that not only validates but provides actionable information to improve performance. We will role play different ways to provide feedback so that the receiver hears what is working and what needs to change (and will be motivated to change it). Tactics for recovery when the feedback does not land well will also be discussed.
