Sushi-Making Workshop & Tasting
Details
Ever dreamed of making your own sushi with guidance from a real itamae (sushi chef)? Now’s your chance!
Join the Wharton Japan Club for a fun, hands-on Sushi-Making Workshop & Tasting, co-hosted with Celina & Jorge Matsumura—a first-year Wharton MBA student and her partner, a Japanese-Peruvian chef with over 10 years of global culinary experience.
Led by Jorge Matsumura, who trained at Le Cordon Bleu and refined his sushi craft across Japan and other international kitchens, this workshop is designed to be engaging, social, and delicious. You’ll learn how to roll your own sushi—and of course, enjoy what you make!
This event is part of a special passion project by Celina and Jorge to take the intimidation out of sushi-making and invite people to have fun, get creative, and connect through food. The goal? For you to leave not just full—but inspired to recreate the experience with others.
