Jan Van Eck joins Wharton Investment Management Club for a fireside chat on the macro perspective as CEO of VanEck. VanEck is an investment management firm headquartered in NYC with a differentiated focus built on global trends such as political instability and technological advancements.

Jan Van Eck is the CEO of VanEck, a global asset management firm that specializes in exchange-traded funds (ETFs), mutual funds, SMAs, UCITS funds, amongst other investment vehicles. With $118.3 billion in AUM as of September 30, 2024, VanEck is particularly known for its innovative investment strategies. It was one of the first firms to offer ETFs in areas like gold mining, emerging markets, and cyptocurrencies such as Bitcoin futures. Jan holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a bachelor's degree from Williams College.
