IM Club: Speaker Series with Marc Siegel (FASB)

Please join us in welcoming Marc Siegel. Marc is on the FASB and the presentation will include a FASB Update and then he will go into some of the forensic accounting analysis he used to do at CFRA – how to detect early warning signs of business deterioration through forensic financial statement analysis. Lunch will be served!

Marc A. Siegel (W91) is one of the seven members of the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Prior to joining the FASB, he led the Accounting Research and Analysis team at the RiskMetrics Group in Rockville, Maryland. Prior to its acquisition by RiskMetrics, he was the Director of Research at the Center for Financial Research & Analysis (CFRA). In this capacity, he was responsible for CFRA's proprietary research methodology for identifying hidden risks of business deterioration through forensic financial statement analysis. He started his career with ten years at Arthur Andersen LLP as both an auditor and a financial consultant focusing on litigation support.
