The WGC Team
What will be the format of the scramble? The event is a four-player scramble format (each person hits his/her individual shot, the group selects the best shot, and then all four players hit their next shots from that location).
When is the event? October 26th, 9:30AM
How will everyone start at the same time at 10AM? We will have what is called a shot-gun start (every foursome will start on a different hole)
Where is the event? Woodcrest Country Club, 300 E Evesham Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 (http://www.woodcrestcountryclub.com/)
Are there any prizes? There will be lowest gross team score, longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin challenges. The prizes and the locations will be announced at the scramble.
Is food and alcohol included?! Yes, WGC is paying for your first two beers on the golf course. Make sure to take drink tickets from us before your round starts. A BBQ lunch (e.g., burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, sides) is included upon round completion. There will also be a free-flowing keg included with the meal.
How do I get to the golf course? You will have to arrange your own transportation. A google doc will be distributed closer to the event date to help you coordinate groups and rides as a foursome. Lyft and Uber are cheaper on weekdays and the ride should be no longer than 30 minutes.
Do I need clubs? Yes. There are three sets of rentals available at Woodcrest for $65/round. If you would like to rent, please register here and then contact email@example.com. These rentals will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. You cannot play without clubs, so please plan accordingly.
