The 2nd annual Wharton Future of Cities Conference will take place virtually from April 15-16th and will include a series of interesting panels and speakers, centered around this year’s theme of “Urbanization Implications.”

As vaccinations are being administered and plans are being drafted to reopen our cities, the conference will focus on urbanization implications for 2021 and beyond. Through panels, fireside chats, and lightning lectures with leading industry and academic experts, we will explore what cities need in order to be revived and how cities can transform now that demands of the past have changed. With an increasingly mobile workforce, a worsening climate crisis, and a need for additional inclusivity, we will examine how leaders across business, government, and academia can reimagine everything from real estate to transportation.

This year's panel topics include:
- Rebuilding: Co-living, Co-working and Communal Space post-COVID
- Who is Financing the Rebuild? Opportunities for Funding Rebuilding & Revitalizing -Our Cities & Municipalities
- Getting America Back to Work
- Outside the Gateway: The Opportunity for Small and Mid-sized Cities
- Rethinking Urban Mobility
- Urban Energy and How Cities Can Achieve Net Zero
