Day 1 - Financial Modeling Overview

Following a concise introduction to Excel, participants immerse themselves in constructing a comprehensive three-statement financial model, mirroring the methodologies employed by finance professionals. Through the utilization of a partially completed model template derived from the financial statements of a case company, participants are systematically guided through the process of integrating and forecasting the three core statements and supporting schedules. Upon completion of the model, participants are taught sensitivity analysis, where they explore various model assumptions using Excel’s Data Table tool.

Day 2 – Applied Valuation Overview

This course provides a robust overview of corporate valuation. The course starts with a high-level overview of the main corporate valuation methodologies including an introduction to the enterprise value to equity value bridge. Using a real public case company, participants are provided with a thorough overview of trading comparables analysis, a lighter overview on acquisition comparables and a robust introduction to discounted cash flow analysis. Participants are then shown how to use the various analyses to value a business and produce a valuation summary chart. This hands-on course is packed with practical examples and realistic deal models.
