Welcome to The Wharton Family Business Club!

The Wharton Family Business Club is dedicated to providing opportunities for education, networking and dialogue among students interested in both domestic and international family businesses. The club aims to assist in the professional and personal developments of students interested in starting family businesses, returning to work in a family business or consulting family businesses. The Wharton School draws a large number of students from family business backgrounds and has made a significant commitment to developing family business as a stand-alone field of study via the Wharton Global Family Alliance.

- Q&A session on the challenges of running a multi-generation family business with William P. Lauder, Chairman of Estée Lauder Companies

- Joint Family Business Conference with the Columbia Business School

- Lunch and Learn with Barry Garber, a top financial advisor to Family Businesses and High-Net Worth Individuals as rated by Baron's and other publications

- Themed small-group dinners aimed at discussing various issues within family business such as succession planning, effective governance and estate planning

- Club-wide mixers with spotlight on individual members discussing their experiences, learnings and goals related to their family businesses

- Treks to family businesses in and around the Philadelphia region (including an exclusive October tour of Yards Brewery)

- Exclusive free access to the "Opportunity Network" - a global network that gathers over 2,800 companies in 75 countries and generated a $10 billion opporunity flow 

Our first welcome event will be held on Tuesday September 30 at 8PM.
