The COCKTAIL CODEX series is an exploration of craft cocktails through the taxonomy made famous by Alex Day in his book, "Cocktail Codex." In each of the six sessions, we will take turns mixing *four* variations on the drink category for each class (e.g., Old-Fashioned, Flip, Martini, Daiquiri, Sidecar, Highball) and discuss some insights from the book.

This session will focus on the Highball style of cocktail, which is made up of a spirit core with texture from carbonation (e.g., seltzer). We will explore three other Highball variations: the Americano, the Cuba Libre, and the Gin & Tonic. (See flyer for details!)

The COCKTAIL CODEX series (led by Phil Cooke, Cocktail Club Co-President) is both more informal and more hands-on than our other MIXOLOGY MASTERCLASS series (led by Paul MacDonald, Head Bartender at the legendary Friday Saturday Sunday).
Come well fed, finished with the night's work, and ready to mix, raise, and down a few drinks!

The sessions will be hosted at Phil's home at 2208 Panama St with the assistance of his two beautiful (and hypo-allergenic) Siberian cats, Pangur and Artemisia.
