Join The Wharton Beauty Club and The Social Equity Impact Community for an inspiring fireside chat on the ever-evolving beauty landscape, where diversity, innovation, and social impact take center stage. Featuring two trailblazing leaders—Camille Bell, Co-Founder of Pound Cake, and Roya Shariat, former Director of Social Impact and Communications at Glossier—this conversation will explore how they are redefining the industry by championing inclusivity and purpose-driven beauty. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain insights from pioneers shaping the future of beauty.

The speakers will be joining virtually, but the conversation will be moderated in person, and lunch will be served.

Camille Bell, co-founder & Chief Everything Officer of Pound Cake, is revolutionizing cosmetics with award-winning formulas personalized to different skin and lip tones. As the first Black woman to win a $1M grant in the beauty industry, Camille has been recognized by Good Morning America, Allure, Glamour, WWD, and Essence. Her brand, available at Ulta Beauty, Credo Beauty, and poundcake.com, is a testament to the power of representation in beauty.

Roya Shariat is a Brooklyn-based author, communications strategist, and advocate for social impact in the beauty industry. She previously lead Social Impact and Communications at Glossier, a role she created in 2018, where she drove initiatives that merge beauty, community, and activism—ranging from nonprofit partnerships to civic engagement. A passionate storyteller, Roya writes Consumed, a newsletter on pop culture, food, and joy, and is the author of Maman and Me: Recipes from Our Iranian American Family, a critically acclaimed cookbook celebrating her Iranian-American heritage.

Through this dynamic discussion, we’ll explore how beauty brands can foster inclusivity, leverage storytelling for impact, and drive meaningful change in the industry. Whether you’re a beauty enthusiast, entrepreneur, or advocate for social change, this conversation will leave you inspired to push boundaries and reshape the future of beauty.
