The Wharton Charity Fashion Show is a student-run event that features world-class designers and raises funds for a local Philadelphia charity. The entire event is managed by Wharton students with the participation of volunteers and models from the Wharton student body.
In 2013, the Wharton Charity Fashion Show drew over 600 attendees to raise over $24,000 for YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School, a local non-profit focused on providing the education and support to help underprivileged youths attain a high school diploma. Wharton student models walked the runway in designs from Barbour, BHLDN, Bloomingdales, Kal Reiman, Lilly Pulitzer, Michael Kors, Peter Thomas Roth, Shokay, Suit Supply, Tiffany & Co., Tommy Hilifiger, Warby Parker, and Zinke.
100% proceeds go to Youthbuild Philadelphia.
